Allgemeine-SS double decal Austrian M16 steel helmet for sale. The M16, SS steel helmet with original 1916 field-grey paint to the inside, and typical black overpaint for use by the SS. The helmet complete with the C.A.Pocher SS Runes and swastika decal. The inside complete with the metal liner ring and the three leather liner pads. Chinstrap missing. A faint helmet batch stamp to the right-hand inside of the neck.

Condition report: The helmet remaining in generally good overall condition. 95% original field-grey paint finish to the roof of the helmet-shell, and 95% of the black paint finish to the outside. The Runes decal with approximately 90% remaining, and the swastika national decal with 80% remaining. The interior lining pads in good overall condition.

Provenance: A letter from the consigner states how they acquired the helmet in the late 1970s / early 1980s.
